Contributing Author Agreement

I, (“Contributing Author”) give Daily Gift Books, an imprint of Authentic Endeavors Publishing (“Publisher”) permission to publish my submitted story (“Work”) in the multi-author Daily Gift book series (“Book”).

I acknowledge that Publisher has the right to use, and to license others to use, Contributing Author’s Work, name, image, likeness, and biographical material for inclusion in the Book, and in the marketing, advertising, and other promotion of the Book. Contributing Author warrants to the Publisher that their Work is original in form and content and that the Work has not been previously published in book form by another publisher. Contributing Author warrants to Author (Teresa Velardi) and the Publisher that the Work is free and clear of any libelous content, plagiarism, breach of privacy, or misrepresentation of facts. Contributing Author warrants that they are the sole owner of the story and have full power to enter into this Agreement. Contributing Author agrees to indemnify the Publisher in the event that claims by third parties are made against the Work for whatever reason.

Contributing Author will retain full copyright of their Work in its original form (“Original Form”) as submitted to the Publisher and before any edits to the Work. Contributing Author is allowed to use the Original Form of their Work at any time after the publication of the Book but must reference the Book. Authentic Endeavors Publishing owns the copyright of the Book, which includes the Contributing Author’s Work in its edited, final form as published in the Book. Contributing Author is expressly not authorized to use the edited version of their Work in the Book without written permission from the Author (Teresa Velardi) and Publisher. Contributing Author understands that the Publisher will edit Contributing Author’s Work while maintaining the integrity of the story and the Contributing Author’s voice.

Contributing Author will be invited to participate in interviews about the Book and the Work they contributed. Contributing Author understands they are not to receive monetary compensation or any other form of compensation for their Work or royalties from the Book. Contributing Author can purchase the Book at a discounted rate of $10.00 per copy plus any shipping, handling, and taxes.

By agreeing to this Contributing Author Book Agreement, Contributing Author warrants that they understand, acknowledge, and agree to be bound by all Agreement terms set forth above.
