GW Lehtinen spent ten formative years living in the breathtaking and rugged state of Alaska, where he developed a deep appreciation for its rich culture, dramatic landscapes, and extraordinary natural wonders. From witnessing the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis dancing across the night sky to experiencing the traditions of dog mushing and the challenges of Alaska’s harsh weather, George’s years there left a lasting impression that continues to inspire his creative work today. Through his storytelling, he hopes to share the wonder, adventure, and unique beauty of Alaska with readers of all ages.

Today, George combines his love of art, storytelling, and imagination to create children’s short stories filled with fully colored illustrations and engaging rhyming dialogue. His goal is to craft stories that are easy for children to read, understand, and enjoy while sparking curiosity about nature, adventure, and the world around them.
